CBS takes the evening, holding off NBC and Fox who came closest among adults 18-49.

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 9.2/14 household rating, 14.43 million total viewers, and a 4.8/12 rating among adults 18-49.

  • 8:00 PM and 8:30 p.m.: How I Met Your Mother (5.9/9 HH rating, 9.12M viewers, 3.5/9 A18-49 rating) and The Class (5.5/8 HH rating, 8.80M viewers, 3.3/8 A18-49 rating) were steady from the week prior.
    • Week-to-week numbers (How I Met Your Mother)
      • Households – 6.3/10 to 5.9/9
      • Viewers – 9.81M to 9.12M
      • Adults 18-49 – 3.6/10 to 3.5/9
    • Week-to-week numbers (The Class)
      • Households – 5.9/9 to 5.5/8
      • Viewers – 8.97M to 8.80M
      • Adults 18-49 – 3.3/8 to 3.3/8
  • 9:00 PM and 9:30 p.m.: Two and a Half Men (10.5/15 HH rating, 16.58M viewers, 5.3/12 A18-49 rating) was followed by Rules of Engagement (8.9/13 HH rating, 13.94M viewers, 4.9/11 A18-49 rating) and provided another solid hour for CBS.  Winning the hour among households and adults 18-49.  It’s worth noting the steady and solid growth of Rules of Engagement.  It seems like CBS has a hit.

  • 10:00 p.m.: CSI: Miami (12.1/20 HH rating, 19.08M viewers, 5.9/15 A18-49 rating) took the 10PM hour with ease, steady fairly consistent from the week prior.

      • Households – 12.7/21 to 12.1/20
      • Viewers – 19.85M to 19.08M
      • Adults 18-49 – 6.4/16 to 5.9/15

NBC followed in second place for the evening with a 7.7/12 household rating, 12.67 million total viewers and a 4.5/11 rating among adults 18-49.

  • 8:00 p.m.: Deal or No Deal (10.8/16 HH rating, 17.59M viewers, 4.8/12 A18-49 rating) added a strong 1.53M viewers from the week prior.

  • 9:00 p.m.: Heroes (8.2/12 HH rating, 14.02M viewers, 6.0/14 A18-49 rating) took a small dip from last week, but still came out on top for the evening among adults 18-49.

  • 10:00 p.m.: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (4.1/7 HH rating, 6.40M viewers, 2.6/7 A18-49 rating) hit yet another series low as it goes into hiatus (The Black Donnelly’s premieres next week).

Fox finished in third place for the evening with a 6.9/10 household rating, 11.26 million total viewers and a 4.4/11 rating among adults 18-49.

    • 5.0/12 A18-49 rating [#1]
  • 8:00 p.m.: Prison Break (6.0/9 HH rating, 9.55M viewers, 3.9/10 A18-49 rating) returned solidly after a brief one-week break.
    • Episode-to-episode numbers (2/5/2007):
      • Households – 6.0/9 to 6.0/9
      • Viewers – 10.12M to 9.55M
      • A18-49 – 4.1/10 to 3.9/10
  • 9:00 p.m.: 24 (7.9/12 HH rating, 12.96M viewers, 5.0/11 A18-49 rating) dipped below 13M, its lowest mark of the season.  Though it stayed pretty flat from the week prior.

      • Viewers – 13.68M to 12.96M

ABC followed in fourth place for the evening with a 5.3/8 household rating, 7.84 million total viewers and a 3.3/8 rating among adults 18-49.

    • 5.3/8 HH rating [#4]
    • 7.87M viewers [#4]
    • 3.5/9 A18-49 rating [#4]
  • 8:00 p.m.: Wife Swap (5.9/9 HH rating, 8.68M viewers, 3.5/8 A18-49 rating) remains a solid performer for ABC, growing its audience among total households and viewers.
    • Week-to-week numbers:
      • Households – 5.5/8 to 5.9/9
      • Viewers – 8.32M to 8.68M
      • A18-49 – 3.7/9 to 3.5/8
  • 9:00 p.m.: Supernanny (6.0/9 HH rating, 8.89M viewers, 3.5/8 A18-49 rating) managed to hold onto its lead-in, despite taking a bit of a from the week prior.  Though the show had been on a high for the past three weeks, so these are still very good numbers.

      • Viewers – 9.74M to 8.89M
      • A18-49 – 4.1/9 to 3.5/8
  • 10:00 p.m.: What About Brian (4.0/7 HH rating, 5.64M viewers, 2.7/7 A18-49 rating) was steady from the week prior, and was able to take a second place finish for the hour ahead of NBC’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip among adults 18-49.

      • Households – 3.8/6 to 4.0/7
      • Viewers – 5.55M to 5.64M
      • A18-49 – 2.7/7 to 2.7/7

The CW was left for a fifth place finish with a 1.7/2 household rating, 2.51 million total viewers and a 1.1/3 rating among adults 18-49.

  • 8:00 and 8:30 p.m.: New episodes of Everybody Hates Chris (1.9/3 HH rating, 2.99M viewers, 1.3/3 A18-49 rating) and All of Us (1.7/3 HH rating, 2.54M viewers, 1.1/3 A18-49 rating) were up and down, with ‘Chris’ the stronger of the two.  Both shows are well off from their numbers last year.

      • Households – 1.9/3 to 1.9/3
      • Viewers – 2.79M to 2.99M
      • A18-49 – 1.2/3 to 1.3/3
    • Week-to-week numbers (All of Us):

  • 9:00 and 9:30 p.m.: Girlfriends (1.5/2 HH rating, 2.24M viewers, 1.0/2 A18-49 rating) and The Game (1.5/2 HH rating, 2.29M viewers, 1.0/2 A18-49 rating) ended the evening for the CW on a low note, as the hour was down 14% among households, 12% among total viewers and 20% among adults 18-49 from the week prior.

      • Viewers – 2.62M to 2.24M
      • A18-49 – 1.3/3 to 1.0/2
