prison break ratings dropped because of the ncaa national championship games… what a dumb comparison to last years finale… idiots

First off, it’s idiot not idiots. There is only one of me on this site. ;)

True it was going up against the tournament (the championship none the less), but it’s still worth noting how much stronger last year’s finale was to this year’s (even though they aired in different months).

Here is a comparison between the penultimate episode and the season finale for both years:

Season 1
Households – 5.6/9 to 6.4/10 (+14%)
Viewers – 9.13M to 10.24M (+12%)
Adults 18-49 – 4.0 to 4.5 (+12.5%)

Season 2
Households – 5.2/8 to 5.0/8 (-4%)
Viewers – 8.24M to 8.12M (-1%)
Adults 18-49 – 3.5 to 3.4 (-3%)

Above ratings are the FINALS

As you can see, there was quite a nice boost of audience for the finale last year. The same thing did not happen this year.

I’m not saying it performed poorly (the rating is still strong overall), I’m just saying it has lost a few viewers over the course of the season.

Thanks for checking out the site and taking the time to leave a comment. I hope you enjoy it.

I am so mad they moved 24 and now the ratings SUCK!!! It used to be such a great show… it is lacking creativity on the writers part this season. I hope it comes back stronger next year.. IF THERE IS A NEXT YEAR!!!
