Another Thursday goes to CBS, with the network’s programming posting higher than average ratings, led by Big Brother 8 and a repeat of CSI (the nights most-watched and highest rated series among households, viewers and adults 18-49).

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 6.6/11 household rating/share, 10.18 million viewers and a 3.1/8 rating/share among adults 18-49.

  • Last Week:

    • 9.54M viewers [#1]
    • 2.9/9 A18-49 rating [#1]
  • 8:00 p.m.: Big Brother 8 (6.0/11 HH rating/share, 9.42M viewers, 3.2/10 A18-49 rating/share).
    • Week-to-week numbers (fast nationals):
      • Households – 5.3/10 to 6.0/11
      • Viewers – 8.08M to 9.42M
      • Adults 18-49 – 3.1/10 to 3.2/10
  • 9:00 p.m.: A repeat of CSI (7.4/12 HH rating/share, 11.43M viewers, 3.2/9 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 10:00 p.m.: A repeat of Without A Trace (6.5/11 HH rating/share, 9.69M viewers, 2.8/8 A18-49 rating/share).

Fox followed in second place place for the evening with a 4.1/7 household rating/share and 6.35 million viewers and was tied for second among adults 18-49 with a 2.0/6 rating/share.

  • 9:00 p.m.: A repeat of So You Think You Can Dance? (4.0/7 HH rating/share, 6.10M viewers, 2.0/6 A18-49 rating/share).
    • Last week’s numbers (fast nationals – NFL Preseason: Jacksonville Jaguars and the Green Bay Packers):
      • Households – 4.7/8
      • Viewers – 7.23M
      • Adults 18-49 – 2.7/8

ABC finished in third place for the evening with a 3.9/7 household rating/share, 5.61 million viewers and a 1.8/5 rating/share among adults 18-49.

  • Last Week:
    • 3.0/5 HH rating [#3]
    • 4.20M viewers [#3]
    • 1.3/4 A18-49 rating [#4]
  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of Ugly Betty (4.1/7 HH rating/share, 6.08M viewers, 1.8/6 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 9:00 p.m.: A repeat of Grey’s Anatomy (4.0/7 HH rating/share, 5.72M viewers, 1.9/6 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 10:00 p.m.: And a repeat of Men In Trees (3.1/6 HH rating/share, 5.03M viewers, 1.6/5 A18-49 rating/share).

NBC followed in fourth place for the evening with a 3.5/6 household rating/share and 5.33 million viewers, but managed to tie for second with a solid 2.0/6 rating/share among adults 18-49.

  • 8:00 & 8:30 p.m.: Repeats of My Name is Earl (4.1/8 HH rating/share, 6.43M viewers, 2.2/7 A18-49 rating/share) and 30 Rock (3.6/6 HH rating/share, 5.61M viewers, 2.0/6 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 9:00 & 9:30 p.m.: A repeat of The Office (3.8/6 HH rating/share, 5.85M viewers, 2.3/7 A18-49 rating/share) and Scrubs (3.2/5 HH rating/share, 4.88M viewers, 1.9/5 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 10:00 p.m.: A repeat E.R. (3.2/6 HH rating/share, 4.61M viewers, 1.7/5 A18-49 rating/share).

The CW was left then in fifth place earning a 1.7/3 household rating/share, 2.51 million viewers and a 0.9/3 rating/share among adults 18-49.

  • 8:00 p.m.: A repeat of Smallville (1.6/3 HH rating/share, 2.27M viewers, 0.8/3 A18-49 rating/share).
  • 9:00 p.m.: Supernatural (1.9/3 HH rating/share, 2.75M viewers, 1.0/3 A18-49 rating/share).
