ABC’s Dancing With the Stars holds off the competition on Monday night.  The night seen a total of 10 season openers (three series premieres and seven season premieres, including ‘Dance’).  Though ABC was far and away the most-watched network last night, NBC was a very close second place among adults 18-49 with their solid season premiere of hit drama Heroes and okay series premieres for Chuck and Journeyman.  

On the CBS front, all its shows returned down from year-ago numbers, but the nets new comedy series The Big Bang Theory showed good growth from its lead-in and improved the timeslot numbers among adults 18-49 from last year’s occupant. Over at FOX, K-Ville suffered a big loss.

ABC finished in first place for the evening with a 10.1/15 household rating/share, 15.38 million viewers and a 4.7/12 rating/share among adults 18-49.
