There was nothing unusual with Tuesday nights ratings, as Hollywood week was kind to American Idol, which posted solid week-to-week gains, to give Fox an expected ratings win.

Elsewhere on the night, the return of Jericho in its new timeslot, and day, drew poor results. The show was down by more than 4.5 million viewers from its series premiere last season. Fox finished in first place for the evening with a 16.7/25 household rating/share, 29.87 million viewers and a 12.3/29 rating/share among adults 18-49.
