what i the air date fir the season premiere of Jericho on CBS?

25. Susan Davis - September 28, 2007 11:15 pm

The word on Jericho is November at the soonest, Jauary – March at the latest. Season 1 DVD goes onsale next week October 2nd! Buy it!!

26. Susan Davis - September 28, 2007 11:18 pm

Please everyone who loves Jericho, email CBS at the link below. It’s the only way they will know how many people are really watching until they figure out a way to get rid of the antiquated Nielsen system. If you don’t have a box you don’t get counted. CBS will be watching DVD sales as well. I love this show and want it back for Season 3! Everyone worked so hard to get it back, including you, let’s keep it where it belongs…..in your living room! Long Live Jericho!

COMEDY CENTRAL(R) Orders ‘Important Things with Demetri Martin’

Sketch And Variety Show From “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” Contributor To Premiere During Second Half Of 2008″Important Things” Is Second Series Pick-Up Under COMEDY CENTRAL’s First-Look Agreement With Jon Stewart’s Busboy Productions, Inc.
October 03, 2007: 10:48 AM EST

NEW YORK, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ — Important news about “Important Things” comes today from COMEDY CENTRAL which has given a series pick-up to comedian Demetri Martin’s new series, “Important Things with Demetri Martin,” it was announced by Lauren Corrao, executive vice president, original programming and development, COMEDY CENTRAL. The new series is tentatively scheduled to premiere during the second half of 2008.

“Important Things with Demetri Martin” is a stream-of-consciousness sketch and variety show from comedian Demetri Martin (“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”). In each episode, Martin analyzes a single topic through the prism of his unique point of view. Topics covered might include everything from “What Happens After We Die” to “Apples.”

“Demetri Martin is truly an original. He’s the only guy that can take you on a hilarious journey on the importance of apples for thirty minutes and make you laugh and make you think,” said Corrao. “He’s a regular on ‘The Daily Show,’ we’ve toured with him, done a CD together and a one-hour special. Obviously, we’re huge fans of Demetri and Busboy and are extremely excited about taking the next step with them.”

“This announcement seems very important,” said Martin. “I’m very excited to be at COMEDY CENTRAL and looking forward to making one of the top shows of all time — ever. Also, I need to clean my apartment and thank Jon Stewart.”

Voted one of the “25 Funniest People in America” by Entertainment Weekly, Martin (www.demetrimartin.com) is taking the comedy world by storm with his unique brand of humor. After leaving NYU Law School to pursue his career as a writer/comedian/artist/musician, the multi-talented comic has performed all across the country, most recently in the “COMEDY CENTRAL LIVE! Demetri Martin: These Are Jokes Tour” in support of his first stand-up CD/DVD “These Are Jokes,” which was released via COMEDY CENTRAL Records(R) in 2006. His “Trendspotting with Demetri Martin” has been a featured segment on the Emmy(R) and Peabody(R) Award-winning “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” since December 2005 and, prior to that, he performed and wrote for “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.”

Martin, a Yale graduate, was also featured in his own one-hour, stand-up special for COMEDY CENTRAL. Filmed at the Paramount Theater in Austin, TX, “Demetri Martin. Person.” premiered in January 2007 and was released earlier this month on DVD by COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment(R) and Paramount Home Entertainment. Martin will appear in the upcoming feature films, “The Rocker” for Fox Atomic and “Kids In America” for Universal. He’s also writing two feature scripts, “Will” for Dreamworks with Scott Armstrong producing and co- writing “Moon People” with James Bobin with Jimmy Miller producing.

“Important Things with Demetri Martin” is the second series pick-up under COMEDY CENTRAL’s first-look agreement with Jon Stewart’s Busboy Productions, Inc. The show is produced by Busboy in association with One Verse, Inc. and is executive produced by Stewart and Martin. Rich Korson and Chris McShane are the executives in charge of production for Busboy. Lou Wallach and Dan Powell are the executives in charge of production for COMEDY CENTRAL.

Demetri Martin is represented by CAA. His attorney is Nancy Rose. Busboy Productions is represented by Dixon Talent, Inc.

COMEDY CENTRAL, the only all-comedy network, currently is seen in more than 91 million homes nationwide.
