New Shows “Private Practice” and “The Big Bang Theory” Get Full-Season Pickups, As Does Third Year CBS Drama “The Unit” October 18, 2007 11:49 pm

Back nine orders have been given to two new shows this season, ABC’s drama Private Practice and CBS’s comedy The Big Bang Theory. CBS also gave a back nine order to its third year drama The Unit.

This is the first back nine order for both ABC and CBS this season. Gossip Girl was the first series to be given a full-season order (related article here).

Through four aired episodes Private Practice has averaged 12.76 million viewers, an 8.6/12 household rating/share and a 4.7/12 adults 18-49 rating/share.

The Big Bang Theory has averaged 8.58 million viewers, a 5.4/8 household rating/share and a 3.4/8 adults 18-49 rating/share (also through four episodes).

While The Unit has averaged 11.35 million viewers, a 7.1/11 household rating/share and a 3.1/8 adults 18-49 rating/share through four episodes.
